NIBRAS is an open Arab scientific initiative that brings together researchers, students, developers, and those interested in brain sciences, neural interfaces, and artificial intelligence. We work collaboratively to transform brain signals into understandable knowledge, practical tools, and scientific content in Arabic accessible to everyone.
We believe that science is a responsibility before it is a privilege; and that sharing knowledge in Arabic is an essential step for a real scientific renaissance in our region. Name Meaning & Abbreviation
The word "NIBRAS" means "lamp" or "guide" in Arabic — a beacon that guides through darkness. It was chosen because science is a light whose value is only complete when it illuminates the path for others. The English abbreviation NIBRAS stands for: Neural Interfaces & Brain Research for Arabic Scientific Sharing.
